Two of my summer skin favorites

I am moving from the northwest down south and it’s very clear that I am going to be stripped down to bare basics for makeup. The minute you walk outside you’re sticky, and a full face of makeup just isn’t the thing. I’ve cut down on buying makeup drastically (go me!) and only buy things I think can withhold extreme heat… enter the Clarins Skin Tint & Benefit’s Dandelion Blush!

Benefit Dandelion Blush – $15.00 (Travel Size)

Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. I am in love with this slightly sheen-y blush. It’s beautiful. It’s subtle enough to wear it everyday without anything else on your face, but not so subtle that it’s not worth spending the money. I purchased Dandelion Dew not too long ago, and although it was beautiful – I didn’t feel like it had enough impact to justify the price point.

I actually purchased this at a Benefit VENDING MACHINE. That’s right! You can imagine how excited I was to be able to dispense a tiny Benefit blush in the middle of an airport. The pricing at the vending machine was the same as Sephora, and they had a great selection of different products and colors! I want beauty vending machines everywhere.

The baby pink color looks beautiful on and in the picture above I have a little swatch of pink brightness on my hand. Imagine how youthful, and healthy this looks on the cheeks. My biggest concern when picking this up is that it would look dusty…instead of a creamy pink dream. It doesn’t! It’s a gorgeous pink that would be flattering on fair to light medium skin tones! I can’t recommend this enough… for such a frilly pink- it looks amazing and brightening on.

Clarins Sunscreen Multi-Protection Tint – $45.00

Ok, straight up-  I have no idea who I think I am spending $45.00 on a glorified sunscreen! That being said…I love it and can’t imagine life without it. It’s everything man. I hate putting sunscreen on, and usually never do it without someone else forcing me. I’m an adult… I know… but it’s annoying and I WANT TO GET TAN. But, I totally get that skin cancer, and premature aging isn’t worth the tan.

I would highly recommend this to anybody who wants a tiny bit of blurring, and to have protection from the sun. They do only have two shades of this formula *eye roll*. In the picture above I have sheered out the tint right next to the big blob. As you can see, it isn’t going to blow your mind in coverage, but it does a little something something. I am a huge fan of the Shiseido face sunscreen, but love that this is a easy 2-in-1 product.

I’m so so happy to be moving somewhere that’s sunny year round… the NW fall/winter can be kind of tough on my mood!

Happy happy Friday! 🙂
